What training is required to become licensed?

Applicants need to complete the following trainings prior to licensure:

  • 4 hours in child growth and development & behavior guidance training
  • 6 hours in Supervising for Safety for the Family Child Care Provider
  • Sudden Unexpected Infant Death/Abusive Head Trauma training
  • Pediatric CPR & 1st Aid

Training must be approved through DEVELOP, Red Cross or American Heart Association.
