[ARCHIVED] Blue Earth County Receives Pediatric Immunization Award from MDH

Blue Earth County was recently named a 2016 Immunization Award Winner by the Minnesota Department of Health. Awards were presented at the Got Your Shots? Immunization Conference to recognize counties and clinics with the highest immunization rates for their pediatric and adolescent patients.

Public Health Staff within Blue Earth County Human Services were presented with the Pediatric Category Award in the population division from 350 to 999 pediatric patients. Other area organizations that were recognized included Mankato Clinic at Wickersham Family Practice (20 to 90 pediatric patients) and Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato Northridge (91 to 350 pediatric patients).

“We are extremely proud to be recognized for our successful pediatric immunization rates and considered a leader among other counties,” stated Phil Claussen, Human Services Director. “Our employees do an excellent job and their hard work allows Blue Earth County to receive this important recognition from the Minnesota Department of Health.”
