The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a “Town Hall” for Veterans on Monday, September 26, in Mankato.
The meeting will be held 5-7 p.m. at VFW Post 9713, 1900 North River Drive, Mankato, MN 56001. The event is open to Veterans, their spouses, VA stakeholders and the general public.
Leaders from the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, the VBA Regional Office and Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be available to respond to Veterans questions and concerns.
This is the ninth quarterly Town Hall meeting sponsored by the VA in Minnesota since September 2014.
The town halls are held quarterly to improve communication with, and hear directly from, Veterans nationwide.
They were launched by VA Secretary Bob McDonald as a means to rebuild trust among Veterans. He said, “it is critical that we continue to listen and learn directly from those who use our system.”
