[ARCHIVED] Help Celebrate Earth Day with Blue Earth County

All ages are welcome to participate in Earth Day activities at the Blue Earth County Library in Mankato on Sat., April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will take place in the Lovelace Children’s Wing of the library where there will be activities, craft projects, informational displays and refreshments. A highlight of the event will be a special live reptile presentation by Reptile & Amphibian Discovery Zoo.

Additionally, participants can make craft projects from recycled materials, take part in environmental games, enter in a coloring contest, listen to an environmentally-themed story time and enjoy face painting. The 2016 Earth Day celebration has something for everyone to learn about keeping the earth clean while having fun. Those wishing to get a head start on coloring contest pages, can pick them up at the Blue Earth County Library in Mankato, Environmental Services or Public Health located in the Government Center at 410 S. Fifth Street in Mankato. Copies are also online at www.blueearthcountymn.gov
