[ARCHIVED] Blue Earth County Recycling Center Remains Open

Despite recent changes with the City of Mankato residential garbage and recycling services, the Blue Earth County Recycling Center remains open under the operation of Waste Management. The facility is located at 725 Waseca Avenue in the LeHillier area of Mankato and offers single stream recycling, eliminating the need to sort recyclables. Materials such as glass, metal, paper, plastics and textiles are accepted at no cost. Other items such as non-commercial appliances, electronics, tires and batteries are accepted for a fee. There is a convenient 24-hour drop off area for most materials and a drive through facility that is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. More information about the Blue Earth County Recycling Center, along with recycling rate prices can be found on the Blue Earth County website at www.blueearthcountymn.gov under the Waste & Recycling section or by calling the 24-hour Waste & Recycling Hotline at (507) 304-4242.
