Blue Earth County has released an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the proposed expansion of County Road 12 between County Road 17 (Madison Avenue) and State Highway 83 in eastern Mankato and Mankato Township. The proposed project involves construction of County Road 12 on a new alignment from County Road 17 to 586th Avenue/ Hoffman Road, and along the existing 586th Avenue alignment from Hoffman Road to the southern project ending at the State Highway 83/County Road 41 intersection.
The project is not fully programmed for construction. Blue Earth County will pursue right of way preservation with future development in the eastern Mankato growth area, as well as additional project funding opportunities.
Copies of the EAW will be available beginning July 7, 2014 at the Blue Earth County Public Works Building (35 Map Drive, Mankato), the Blue Earth County Library (100 East Main Street, Mankato), and online at http://www.blueearthcountymn.gov/CR12stagefive.
