Blue Earth County residents with damaged property due to recent heavy rainfalls are encouraged to complete a preliminary report of damages found on the County’s website at www.blueearthcountymn.gov/damagedproperty. Heavy rainfall in the area has resulted in many damages to property including flooded basements throughout communities and rural areas in the County. The damaged property form is brief and allows Blue Earth County to begin the process of gathering information on damaged properties in order to be as efficient as possible in serving residents. Residents do not need to wait for review or follow-up from the County to begin clean-up. However, damages should be documented and photographed if repair work is started. Follow-up to form submissions will take place beginning as early as the week of June 23 after forecasted rainfalls end. For questions or assistance in completing the form contact Blue Earth County Taxpayer Services at (507) 304-4251.
