[ARCHIVED] City of Madison Lake Cherry Avenue (County Road 26) Closure Scheduled

County Road 26 (Cherry Avenue), in the City of Madison Lake between Main Street and County Road 187 (Park Road), will close for construction on Mon., June 16. The project includes replacing the water, sewer and drainage utilities, in addition to reconstruction of the street. Drivers should expect this portion of County Road 26 to be closed until early September.

Work continues on County Road 26 (Main Street) from Minnesota Highway 60 to Cherry Avenue. This segment remains closed to through traffic while construction of the pavement and sidewalks takes place in the coming weeks. Construction of the segment is on schedule and expected to open in mid-July.

Access to local businesses will be via 5th and 7th Streets and pedestrians should expect limited access and intermittent sidewalk closures along County Road 26 for the duration of this project. Trailblazer Bar & Grill and Sakatah Trail Campground will be accessible and the public is asked to watch for additional signage as business routes may vary throughout construction.
