Blue Earth County Road 26 (Main Street) in Madison Lake closed Mon., May 5 between Minnesota Highway 60 and Cherry Avenue. A reconstruction project of the road will include replacing water, sewer and drainage, a new street and sidewalks. Motorists should expect this portion of County Road 26 to be closed until mid-July. As part of the project, work will also include traffic lane shifts on Minnesota Highway 60 while portions of the County Road 26 work is underway. Access to local businesses will be via Fifth and Seventh Streets with posted signage. Pedestrians can also expect limited access and intermittent sidewalk closures along County Road 26 for duration of the project.
