Blue Earth County Library System recently held an award ceremony recognizing winners of the 2014 Bookmark Contest which received more than 500 entries. The annual Bookmark Contest was brought back by popular demand in 2014 with the theme “My Hometown” and the addition of a new adult category for participants. First, second and third places prizes were awarded within each of the following age groups; preschool and kindergarten, first and second grades, third to fifth grade, sixth to eighth grade, ninth to twelfth grade and adults. Winning entries are on display at the Blue Earth County Library in Mankato. First place winners were professionally printed and distributed to each of the Blue Earth County Library System branches in Lake Crystal, Mankato and Mapleton.
