The Housing Choice Voucher (section 8) waiting list for the city of Mankato and Blue Earth County is now open. To be eligible, applicants must meet income guidelines and not have a history of violent behavior or drug involvement. Applicants must either live, work full-time (or are hired to work), are adults who attend school full-time in Blue Earth County, or are veterans (local veterans receive preference).
Applications may be submitted online at https://mankato.hdswaitinglist.com beginning today and will be accepted through Friday, April 18. The online application link will be available on the city of Mankato's and Blue Earth County's websites. Those without Internet access may use computers at the Blue Earth County Library, 100 East Main Street. A library card is required and is available at the circulation desk at no cost. Once the list is closed, 200 applicants will be randomly ranked. Duplicate and incomplete applications will be discarded.
