Metal Recycling

Metals are separated by type- ferrous or non-ferrous. Metal can be used for a wide variety of purposes, both in the home and in the manufacturing industry. Much of the scrap metal recycled in the U.S. goes into the manufacturing of completely new items, such as appliances or building materials. Metals are valuable materials that can be recycled again and again without degrading their properties.
  • Tin- turned into cars, bikes, cans, and boats
  • Aluminum- turned into new cans or car castings
