Public Health Nurse Visits
Public Health Nurse visits include education and support to you for:
- Having a healthier pregnancy and baby
- Breastfeeding support
- Weighing and measuring your baby
- Learning skills to meet your child's needs
- Increasing your confidence as a parent
Public Health Nurses also work with the Minnesota Department of Health to educate, support, and provide resources to families who have a child with elevated lead levels, hearing loss, and/or birth defects and with families who have experienced the loss of a child due to Sudden Unexpected Infant Deaths.
