Record Maintenance
The Records Division maintains records for:
- Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office
- Eagle Lake Police Department
- Lake Crystal Police Department
- Madison Lake Police Department
- Mapleton Police Department
- Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force
We ensure that all records are processed according to MNJIS (Minnesota Justice Information
Systems) requirements, the sheriff’s office procedures, and other agencies requirements.
Additional Duties
Other duties include:
- Assist with walk-in citizens and their various requests
- Burn permits
- Citations
- Data entry of all information into the in-house RMS (Records Management System) and CIBRS (Comprehensive Incident Based Reporting System)
- Gun permits
- Image scanning
- Property and evidence
- Warrant entry
Reports & Records
The public can request reports by contacting the records division Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, by calling (507) 304-4814 or emailing Records@blueearthcountymn.gov to submit your request. Some records are considered private per the Data Privacy Act and cannot be made available to the general public. Some records may only be obtained with a signed release. There is a
fee for reports over three pages.
