Broadband Feasibility Study
Blue Earth County was awarded a $25,000 Blandin Foundation grant to be used to research rural broadband needs. The grant, along with an additional $25,000, which was set aside as part of the county’s Information Technology Department budget, was used to conduct the feasibility study. The goal of the study was to better understand the county’s broadband needs, identify where broadband access is lacking throughout the county and recommend potential solutions to get our rural areas up to recommended state standards. County officials hired Finely Engineering to conduct the study. The completed survey is below.
