Stoltzman Road Trail Impact

Blue Earth County Public Works is requesting input from the public on the impact the proposed trail along Stoltzman Road (CSAH 16) will have on Rasmussen Woods.

The proposed project includes a 10-ft. shared-use path from Stadium Road to West Pleasant Street. The project incorporates the addition of crosswalks, flashing warning signs, and curb improvements on Stoltzman Road.

Blue Earth County is soliciting comments on the effects this project would have on Rasmussen Woods. The proposed trail would run along the east side of the woods on the west side of the road. The project will be less than 1% of the Rasmussen Woods.

Information on this impact and avoidance, minimization, mitigation or enhancement measures is available in-person at the Blue Earth County Public Works Department located at 35 Map Drive in Mankato, or online at

Comments must be submitted by mail to the Public Works Department on or before April 3 to Ryan Thilges, Blue Earth County Engineer and Project Manager.
